Arrival Blueprint

Mandatory Arrival Checklist

Ensure you have these four critical assets finalized before arriving at Denpasar Custom gates.

1. Passport Validity

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your exact date of entry into Indonesia. This is strictly enforced; airlines will deny boarding at your home airport if it is less.

2. Return Ticket

A confirmed onward or return ticket departing Indonesia within your visa duration (30 or 60 days). Digital copy is fine, but printing a physical copy is highly recommended.

3. Electronic Customs Declaration

Complete the official digital customs card (ECD) online within 3 days prior to your flight. Download the generated QR code to your phone for airport scanning.

4. Medical Insurance

Though no longer legally mandatory for entry, having comprehensive travel health insurance covering hospitalization in Bali is highly recommended.

Advisory FAQ

Visa & Immigration FAQs

Can I do a Visa Run to extend my stay?+

Yes! If you are on an e-VoA and wish to stay longer than 60 days, you can book a short flight to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur for the weekend, and then re-enter Bali on a brand-new 30-day e-VoA. Many students choose this option to explore Southeast Asia.

Should I apply online or get it at the airport?+

Applying online (e-VoA) at least 7-10 days before your flight is highly recommended. It allows you to skip the long payment queues at Denpasar Airport and walk directly to the e-gates or dedicated digital visa lanes.

Can I work in Bali on these visas?+

No! Both the B1 e-VoA and the B211A are strictly tourist/social visas. Performing any form of work, receiving local payments, or volunteering for local businesses in exchange for accommodation is strictly illegal and subject to deportation.
